Alamo is a smaller stop on our route than some of the areas we cover - about 6,013 households, not the sprawling tract you get closer to McAllen. That smaller base means fewer jobs on any given street, but it also means when we do come out, we're not guessing at what's behind the wall. We travel the 8 miles from McAllen for the visit itself, so booking is a matter of picking a day that works and telling us what you're dealing with: an opener that's dying, a door that's rusted through at the bottom panel, or just a house that's never had anything but the builder-grade door it came with. We'll ask the age of the house and what's currently mounted, because that tells us more about the job than a photo does. There's no local branch here - every truck comes from McAllen - so the lead time on scheduling is about getting a truck routed your way, not about staffing a satellite office we don't have.
